Institute of Educational Sciences

Mehmet Akif Ersoy University Institute of Educational Sciences was established with the Council of Ministers Decision No. 2011/1595 published in the Official Gazette No. 27906 dated April 15, 2011. 
The decisions numbered 1,2,3 taken at the 136th session of our University Senate dated 22.02.2012 were examined at the Higher Education Council meeting held on 05.04.2012, 10.05.2012 and 26.06.2012 and with the 7/d-2 article of the Law No. 2547 amended by the Law No. 2880 and the Organization and Operation Regulation of Graduate Education Institutes according to the 4th and 7th articles;

Within the body of the Institute of Science;

• Primary Education Department Science Education Thesis Master's Program,

Within the body of the Institute of Social Sciences;

• Fine Arts Education Department Music Education Doctorate Program,
• Primary Education Department Classroom Teaching Education Doctorate Program,
• Primary Education Department Classroom Teaching Education Thesis Master's Program,
• Preschool Education Thesis Master's Program,
• Social Studies Teaching Thesis Master's Program,
• Educational Sciences Department Education Management Inspection Education Planning and Economics Thesis Master's Program,
• Educational Sciences Department Education Programs and Teaching Thesis Master's Program,
• Fine Arts Education Department Art Education Thesis Master's Program,
•  Music Education Thesis Master's Programs,

The programs were transferred to the Institute of Educational Sciences, and as of the 2011-2012 Academic Year, it started its postgraduate education activities with a total of 146 students in 2 Doctorate programs in 2 Main Science Branches and 9 Master's programs in 2 Main Science Branches.
As of the Fall Semester of the 2017 – 2018 Academic Year, our Institute continues its education and training activities with 5 Doctorate programs in 5 Main Science Branches and 16 Master's programs in 7 Main Science Branches.
